In skillet, cook 1 lb. ground beef, 1/3 cup chopped celery, 1/3 cup chopped onion and 1/4 cup chopped green pepper until meat is browned. Drain. Add 1 cup water and bring to a boil. Combine 2 tablespoons cornstarch, 1 teaspoon sugar, and 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger. Blend in 2 tablespoons water and 1/4 cup soy sauce. Add to beef mixture; cook and stir until thick and bubbly. Stir in one 16 oz. can of chop suey vegetables, drained. Add one small can peas or 10 oz. frozen peas. Can be simmered on the stove for 1/2 hour or baked in a baking dish for about 45 minutes. Serve with a 3 oz. can of chow mein noodles. Serves 4.
